The ludicrous, delusional £50 billion payoff that the EU has been pushing for from Brexit Britain has been dismissed by a group of peers who have backed leaving the EU without paying a penny.
A group of Lords looking at the legality of leaving the European Union stipulate that if no deal is reached, the UK would not be obligated to pay a penny.
That increasingly looks like an attractive option: no messing around for two years as the EU nationalists seek to mess Britain around, and an exit that doesn’t cost the taxpayer a fortune to prop up the EU’s bumper budget.
The next two years of ‘negotiations’ will show that whilst many heads of governments may want a sensible deal with the UK, they are being represented by the deranged Eurocrats in Brussels.
Those who though we’d be funding the EU for years to come need a reality check.
