It seems that it increasingly isn’t just the Liberal Democrats who want to turn back the clock and pretend June 23rd never happened.

Labour MPs Clive Lewis and Rachael Maskell are now pushing for a second referendum on any EU deal, likely with one eye on halting Brexit altogether.

Writing in The Guardian they have said:

“So we believe that they should be given the choice of which direction their country takes, once our alternatives can be clearly seen. Anything less will see our country hopelessly divided long into the future – something that surely no government would want.”

The country already voted on the future direction of the country. To Leave the EU, exit the single market and restore proper border controls.

Insisting on another referendum because you don’t like the result is about as divisive as you can get. Are Labour morphing into the Liberal Democrats as Jeremy Corbyn loses control?
