‘Disappointing that the Liberal Democrats didn’t follow them correctly.’
The Liberal Democrats have been fined £18k after the Electoral Commission found “that found the party failed to deliver a complete and accurate spending return as a permitted participant at the EU Referendum”. The amount is close to the maximum fine of £20,000.

ElCom’s Bob Posner said: “The reporting requirements for parties and campaigners at referendums and elections are clear, that’s why it is disappointing that the Liberal Democrats didn’t follow them correctly.”

Will the crazy Russia conspiracy theorists now focus on pro-EU campaigners who have broken the rules?
Also fined were Open Britain, formerly known as Britain Stronger in Europe which was the official Remain campaign, as well as the Labour Campaign for Human Rights and Immigrants Political Party.
